In 2018, while we were filming El Brujo, Julio Zachrisson had already lost his sight. He took the dare anyway, and showed us what a printmaker's hand can still do.

He grinned at us, danced his way over to his desk, and cut. A small gesture, and an enormous one: it was the last time his hand ever worked a metal plate.

That is where «El último garabato» comes from, the last doodle. Not a work so much as proof that imagination and play do not go blind.
