Cine Animal, an independent production company in Panama City, founded in 2014. Behind it is a long run of artistic, human and institutional work, with cultural institutions, companies and foundations that have trusted us with their story. Between ten and twenty minutes, depending on the complexity and depth of the story, on the archive material and on what there is to tell. Once the whole story is covered, we cut adaptations and shorter versions for different media and purposes.Entre diez y veinte minutos, según la complejidad y la profundidad de la historia, los materiales de archivo y lo que se quiera contar. An archive is not only photographs. It is documents, letters, messages, and also intangible heritage: testimonies, people, places. We help catalogue personal and company archives, with an archival or an empirical approach depending on what each case needs, and we accompany the work of preserving that memory.Un archivo no son solo fotos. Son documentos, cartas, mensajes, y también patrimonio inmaterial: testimonios, personas, lugares. Ayudamos a catalogar archivos personales y empresariales, desde un enfoque archivístico o empírico según lo que cada caso necesite, y acompañamos el proceso de preservar esa memoria.

Earlier than you think. The shoot is the smallest part: what takes time is opening the boxes of archive, restoring what turns up and earning the trust of the people who will tell the story. The Canopy Family film was shot in 2024 and premiered in July 2025.Antes de lo que parece. El rodaje es lo de menos: lo que toma tiempo es abrir las cajas del archivo, restaurar lo que aparezca y ganarse la confianza de quienes van a contar. La de Canopy Family se rodó en 2024 y se estrenó en julio de 2025.

The voices that lived the story. Before the camera comes on we create a safe space for listening, so each story can unfold from its human side, with sensitivity.
