Synopsis

Through photographs and never-before-seen family archive material, Mama's House reconstructs the story of Yaya's house, the grandmother of José Braithwaite, in Río Abajo, Panama. Among memories and voices that recount its construction and daily life, the documentary weaves in images of its demolition, revealing how memory becomes the axis of a work marked by nostalgia, loss and the preservation of family history.
