Human Rights Tour

Synopsis

In 2023 the Contenedor MAC went on tour with Fundación Iguales. The exhibition container was hung with «Where Love Is Illegal», Robin Hammond's portraits and testimonies of LGBTQ+ people persecuted for who they are, and the workshop container became a room for talking.

Three towns, one stop each: Las Tablas from 29 August to 3 September, Boquete from the 5th to the 10th, Penonomé from the 12th to the 15th. Around the photographs there were inclusion forums, conversations with the Ngäbe community, with Afro-Panamanian organisations and with activists, and open screenings. Entry was free at all three.

Forty-eight vertical films came out of it, all of them 1080×1920, cut so the conversation would carry on in the phone: two general summaries, three town summaries, four invitations, and thirty-nine capsules in which someone answers a single question.
